Will your children stay home alone this summer? Are they prepared to navigate an emergency or a handle a stranger? Gundersen Boscobel is offering an online "Safe at Home" class to help children (fourth grade and up) prepare for the responsibilities and personal safety of being home alone.
They will learn:
- What to do when someone calls/stops and no adult is home
- Leadership and decision making skills
- What to do in an emergency
- Fire and personal safety
A $15 pre-payment is required. The fee covers the cost of materials, which will be mailed or available for pick-up. For questions or to register your child, contact Natalie at firstname.lastname@example.org or (608) 375-6300. Class size is limited. The virtual course will be taught by Lisa Massen, RN, certified instructor. Registrants will access the class from their computer or smart device through a WebEx link.
