Medical Assistant Trainee Program

Medical Assistants (MAs) are critical members of our frontline healthcare teams who prepare patients for the personalized care we provide at Gundersen. You can become one in as little as 6 months with our no-cost medical assistant certification training program – and even get paid during your hands-on MA training. And when you finish the program, we have a rewarding MA job waiting for you at Gundersen.

When you enroll in Gundersen’s free MA training program, we’ll cover the costs of your CCMA education including online training through Penn Foster College.

As you complete the self-paced online training, you’ll learn how to connect with and room patients, document vital signs and medical histories and more. While you’re learning online, you’ll grow your skills at Gundersen with paid on-the-job training - benefits included!

Finish your medical assistant training program in as little as 6 months or take up to 18 months if that fits best with your schedule. When your training is complete, you’ll continue your MA career at Gundersen with the same healthcare team you trained alongside.

I saw there was a program that was actually going to maintain an income and also pay for the schooling, so I didn't have to worry about that part.
