Your questions, answered

I’m interested in a job at Gundersen. How can I find what's available?

We’re a large organization with many opportunities! You can view all of our open positions on Find a Career. Don't forget to view the qualifications before applying.

Can I apply for the job on my smartphone?

It’s best to apply from a computer using the Google Chrome browser. If you apply from your smartphone, you may experience formatting errors. Please reach out to Recruitment with questions or issues.

I don't have my license and/or certification yet but will get it soon. Can I still apply?

Some positions will require a license and/or certification, and some may be obtained after your start date! You can find that information in the position requirements or reach out to a recruiter for details.

I’m looking at a role that requires education and/or licensing. I don’t want to say I have it, but I am graduating soon and/or have applied for a license. How do I share this information?

Tell us about your upcoming graduation and/or license in your cover letter. For many roles, we require licensure before we can consider you for a position, but other roles have different requirements or timelines.

How long does the hiring process take?

For many positions, the process takes a few days to a couple of weeks depending on:

  • Experience and skills needed for the position
  • Urgency to fill the role
  • Location and the number of qualified workers within the location
  • Number of candidates for the job

Can I check the status of my application?

Yes! You can check the status of your application(s) by signing into the account you used to apply for the position. You can return to your account here.

My application is in "recruiter reviewing" status. What does that mean?

That means a recruiter is evaluating you and other candidates. After the evaluation, we invite the top applicants to the next step in the hiring process.

What can I expect during my interview?

You’ll begin with a 30-to-60-minute phone interview with a recruiter. You’ll talk about your qualifications and work experience and answer a few behavioral-based questions about the job. The next step is a 60-minute interview with the hiring leader.

I had my interview. When should I follow up?

Your interviewer likely shared the timeline for next steps. Please be patient until that date passes before following up with Recruitment. If you haven't heard back by the deadline shared with you, feel free to reach out.

Should I send a thank you after my interview?

Sending a thank you shows you're interested in the position and we note it on your application. We encourage you to send a thank you email within 24 hours of the interview.
