Interpreter Services
Gundersen offers interpretation services to patients and their families who have limited English proficiency or who are deaf/hard of hearing, at no cost to the patient.
Text and video relay are also available. Gundersen has on-staff interpreters in Spanish and Hmong, and can quickly access interpretation service in many other languages.
When calling Gundersen’s main phone number—(608) 782-7300 or (800) 362-9567—non-English speaking callers will be connected to our interpretation service, where they will immediately hear options for an interpreter in each of the following languages:
Once connected to the chosen language interpreter, the caller, with an interpreter, will automatically be transferred back to Gundersen Health Telecommunications staff to direct their call.
