Nursing Research
Our nursing research team supports a variety of projects that spark innovation and improve patient care.
Nursing-focused research, evidence-based and quality projects
Our Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) team, under our nurse researcher’s leadership, supports and leads Gundersen nurses, nursing students, and internal and external interdisciplinary teams conducting projects. By collaborating, we foster continual learning through critical thinking, persuasive advocacy and ethical decision-making to support cost-effective and high-quality patient care.
Our nursing researcher team aids protocol development, education, grant support, statistical analysis, manuscript/poster development and disseminating scholarly work. We use qualitative and quantitative data, or both, to discover innovative ideas, learning opportunities and areas to improve. We use technology to analyze the data we gather from interviews, focus groups, surveys and health records.
Through collaboration with healthcare professionals, we ensure that all aspects of patient care are considered before translating research into practice.
Support nursing-focused research
Generous gifts fund our projects, technology, research participant incentives and the Dahlberg Scholar, a published nurse researcher that educates nurses in their field of expertise and addresses current nursing issues. We cannot do this work without you. Our researchers depend on support from Gundersen Medical Foundation and donors like you to accelerate our progress and help us find answers.
