Physician-led, integrated delivery network
Gundersen is a physician-led organization. This means business operations occur through medical and administrative partnerships, bringing together the best of the clinical and business world.
With our physician-led organizational structure, you can serve on organizational boards to be fully engaged in the governance of our health system.
Teaching and research
One of the best ways to stay at the top of your career is to be involved teaching and research. As part of your practice, you will teach some of the brightest and best. Gundersen Health System serves as the Western Academic Campus for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Through the Gundersen Medical Foundation, the health and well-being of our community has been prioritized through major funding to support medical education, multi-faceted research efforts and outreach activities. Learn about Gundersen Medical Foundation's Medical Education program and our research program.
A global partner
You'll have the opportunity to volunteer your talents at home and abroad by joining our ongoing community partnerships in Ethiopia, Nicaragua, at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, or in our local schools with our Global Partners program.
The health of our communities relies heavily on the health of our planet. Gundersen has an entire division committed to just that, working constantly to produce more energy than it consumes each year. In fact, we're the 1st known health system in the U.S. to do so.
While you work to maintain the health of patients inside our walls, our Envision program works hard to maintain the health of patients outside our walls through environmental sustainability.
About La Crosse and the Driftless Region
