Our multi-specialty team
Our program leaders and multi-disciplinary team are committed to providing fellows with advanced education, clinical training and surgical experiences necessary for the comprehensive management of the bariatric patient. You’ll work directly alongside bariatric surgeons, a medical bariatrician, physician assistants, registered dietitians, clinical psychologists, program managers and clinical coordinators.

Brandon T. Grover, DO, FACS, FASMBS
Director, Advanced GI MIS/Bariatric Surgery Fellowship
Dr. Grover is a board-certified general surgeon with Focused Practice Distinction in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is the fellowship director of the Advanced GI MIS/Bariatric Surgery program at Gundersen Health System.
Dr. Grover graduated from the University of Health Sciences – COM (now known as KCU), in Kansas City, Mo. He completed a surgery residency at Wright State University/Wright Patterson Air Force Base, in Dayton, Ohio. He spent 9 years active-duty Air Force to include 5 years during residency and 4 years as a staff general surgeon. He first came to Gundersen as the MIS/Bariatric Fellow, then later rejoined the program as faculty, after completing his military commitment.
Dr. Grover’s interests include metabolic and bariatric surgery, foregut surgery and robotic hernia repairs. At home, he enjoys spending time with his family. His 4 children are rapidly growing up, with both of his daughters now away at college. He enjoys outdoor activities, but not in the extremes of weather. He is very good at being a terrible golfer but is trying to improve.
