While most people want to stay in their homes as they grow older, fewer family members are available to provide care. The fact is our communities are changing. Between 2012 and 2050, the United States will experience considerable growth in its older population. In 2050, the population aged 65 and over is projected to be 83.7 million, almost double its estimated population of 43.1 million in 2012, according to the US Census Bureau.
Gundersen Tweeten Care Center is committed to enhancing the lives of seniors, their families, employees and our surrounding community. We graciously accept donations toward our mission, and appreciate your support of our fundraising efforts.
Gifts that make a difference
Gifts help provide all the basic services we offer at Gundersen Tweeten, plus services that add joy and vigor to everyday life. A great example is our aviary that currently holds 20 birds.
Designated gifts can support special programs such as updates to our facility. Gifts from the 2015-2016 Fund Drive went toward upgrading our toilets to make them handicap accessible. We also installed new lighting in the hallways and in the resident's rooms. All renovations support our identified goals of increasing mobility and fall reductions specifically. All improvements promote safety for our residents. The 2016-2017 Fund Drive went towards renovating the shower room on the Memory Care Household.
