We’re proud to offer one of the longest running Sports Physical Therapy residencies designed to get athletes back in the game. Our year-long program focuses on mentored experiences in injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance enhancement to prepare you to practice in any clinical or academic setting.
Our dynamic residency blends clinical practice with didactic educational opportunities. You’ll provide event coverage in athletic training rooms, and we’ll support your learning experience with one-on-one clinical mentoring. The program has a 100% program completion rate and a 100% pass rate for graduates who sat for and completed their board certification as Sports Physical Therapy Specialists (SCS). We hold accreditation from the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE).
Gundersen Sports Medicine is a regional based sports medicine practice that provides full-time athletic training services for 8 high schools, a NAIA university, a technical college, plus contracted game coverage for more than 25 area schools. We partner with the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse’s Physical Therapy program and the University of South Dakota’s departments of Physical Therapy and Athletics for additional experiences.
We offer paid medical premiums, funds for educational expenses, a meal stipend and more benefits to support you during your fellowship.
