Clinic Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN

.8 FTE position working primarily in the Postville and Fayette Clinics. Ideal individual will need to be flexible and able to assist in covering vacations, weekends, and evening hours when needed. The responsibility of this MA or LPN includes the providing of compassionate, safe and competent direct patient care as delegated, daily organizational support for the provider and effective and authentic communication skills while interacting with patients, families and all members of the healthcare team. High School Diploma and graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or a State of Iowa Licensed Practical Nurse is required. Six months experience in a healthcare setting and experience in telemedicine is desired. Must have a current Certified Medical Assistant certification or current Licensed Practical Nurse license with the state of Iowa. Current CPR license is required.

Full-time position, with a call rotation that includes weekends, evenings and holidays. Requirements include: RN with and Iowa License, strong desire to work in the OR. Previous experience is preferred, but not required. Position will include pre-op, intra-op, recovery/discharge, surgery clinic, central services and other duties and responsibilities in the surgery department.

Home Medical Supply Clinician

Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Part-time position with benefits, Monday – Friday day hours and will include an on-call rotation. Responsible for clinical aspects and education of equipment to clients, including home oxygen, CPAP/BIPAP, enteral feeding pumps, suction, etc. Maintains knowledge of insurance coverage and payer sources and is customer service oriented. Must have a current license in the state of Iowa as an RCP, RN or LPN and a valid Iowa Driver’s License is required.

Program Therapist (LISW) - Senior Life Solutions

Founded in 2003, Psychiatric Medical Care manages more than 80 Senior Life Solutions programs across the U.S. Senior Life Solutions is an intensive outpatient behavioral healthcare program designed to meet the needs of adults over the age of 65 who are struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety often related to aging. Patients are offered services by an interdisciplinary team of caring, experienced, behavioral health professionals, which includes a psychiatrist, licensed therapist, and registered nurse.

JOB OVERVIEW:

LISW Therapist provides quality social services for clients with group, individual, and family therapy sessions, with a special emphasis on discharge planning needs.

  • Therapy sessions are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • Someone who has experience and loves the geriatric community
  • Small team structure. The ability to thrive in working with a small, close knit team and a commitment to patient care.
  • Strengths in documentation
  • Works well with Physicians

EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited Graduate School of Social Work.

LICENSURE: LISW required; must meet scope of service for State of practice.

CERTIFICATION: The Social Worker must meet any applicable State certification standards.

EXPERIENCE: Two to three years of clinical experience with older persons, and hospital or nursing home experience preferred with extensive group work experience.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of community resources for older persons, knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and insurance requirements as these relate to continuing care. Familiarity with medical terminology and conditions as these impact discharge needs. Familiarity with medical team roles and with the functioning of other hospital departments. Knowledge of effective individual and group communication techniques.
