Gundersen Health System's annual community physical activity challenge, Minutes in Motion, kicks off on April 1 and runs through May 12. Join this free, six-week physical activity challenge on your own or form a team with your family, friends, co-workers or classroom.
The goal of Minutes in Motion is to be active for 30 minutes each day throughout the challenge. Whether you are playing with your children, spring cleaning, walking your dog, or partaking in your favorite exercise class, any activity counts toward your Minutes in Motion. Do something you enjoy and help us meet our collective goal of 6 million minutes!
Last year 4,355 people registered for Minutes in Motion including 112 business and 44 classrooms with 902 students. More than 30 percent reported losing an average of 6.4 pounds during the challenge; the top three wellness improvements reported were increased energy, improved mood, and improved productivity.
Participants who log at least 210 minutes each week throughout the challenge will be entered in a weekly drawing to win a $50 gift card. Other chances to win great prizes include:
- If the goal of 6 million logged total minutes is reached, participants will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a $100 gift card.
- All team captains will be entered into a drawing for one of four $50 gift cards
- Teachers who register their classroom will be entered in a drawing for one of ten $100 gift cards
- Grand Prize $500 gift card
