To ensure the safety of our patients and employees as a condition of employment, clinical privileges or program participation, Gundersen Health System (GHS) requires all staff to be fully vaccinated as defined by Employee Health Services for COVID-19 regardless of work location. In addition, all non-employee personnel, volunteers, residents, fellows, trainees, clinical and non-clinical contracted staff, students, researchers, temporary workers, contractors, and vendors, at any worksite or remote location, regardless of clinical responsibility or patient contact, are required to comply.
Application materials include a formal letter of application with statement of goals, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, college of pharmacy transcripts and a current photograph (optional). All applicants must be eligible for pharmacist licensure in Wisconsin. Licensure must be obtained within 90 days of program start. Applications will be accepted through PhORCAS, the web-based Pharmacy Residency Application System. The application deadline is Jan. 4, 2024.
All candidates must register for the Match. Registration is available here.
For the 2024-25 program year, all selected candidates will be interviewed remotely using a web-based videoconferencing platform (Cisco WebEx). Interviews will be offered on Mondays and Fridays during January and February 2024. Throughout the interview day, candidates will interact with the residency program director, hospital pharmacy leadership, pharmacist faculty preceptors and our current PGY1 residents. Candidates will also have the opportunity to virtually explore and learn more about Gundersen's environment and culture, as well as the La Crosse community.
