Rachel Hawker

Dr. Rachel Hawker grew up in North Dakota and graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is a hospitalist with a Primary Care Faculty Development fellowship and certificates in Critical Care Ultrasonography from the American College of Chest Physicians and Physician Leadership from the American College of Physicians Leadership Academy. In her free time, Dr. Hawker enjoys reading, working on puzzles, and traveling to new places with her family in their Piper Twin Comanche airplane. Fun fact: She has a landing strip in her backyard.

Michael Witcik, M.D.

Dr. Michael Witcik grew up in northern Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. He is a cardiologist with interests in valvular heart disease and percutaneous therapies, advanced echocardiography, and cardiac MRI. He has five kids and enjoys outdoor activities and sports such as hiking, camping, skiing, basketball and hockey.

Dr. Tom Leece is an Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency at Gundersen. He works as a hybrid physician covering both inpatient and outpatient medicine patients at Gundersen. He is an avid music fan and enjoys building his record collection, sharing this hobby with his 4 children. He and his family are also avid skiers during the winter months.

Cindy Leitz is the residency coordinator for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. In her free time, Cindy enjoys gardening (flowers) and spending time with her family. Fun fact: She is an eye-rolling champion (according to current and past residents).

Internal Medicine Senior Office Assistant

Elizabeth (Lizz) Parent is the Internal Medicine Resident Program office assistant. She spends her time away from work reading fictional books, traveling, camping and spending time with her husband and children. Fun fact: Tie-dye is her favorite color!
