Program leadership
Lori Weber, MD
Lori was born and raised in Wisconsin, receiving her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. After training in pediatrics at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium-Wilford Hall Air Force Base, Lori fulfilled a Health Professions Scholarship Program commitment at Minot AFB, N.D. She then returned to Wisconsin to join Gundersen Health System in 2004.
After working at Gundersen for 1 year, Lori began her medical education career as director of the Third Year Medical Student Pediatric Clerkship. In 2014, Lori was offered an opportunity to become the program director of the Transitional Year Residency. She jumped at the chance to lead resident education and has never looked back.
Lori truly enjoys her time at Gundersen, which is now divided between guiding residents, organizing medical students in pediatrics and taking care of her own pediatric patients.
Lori loves being active by maintaining her strength and health as she trains for triathlons and goes on walks with her family and their dog. She also enjoys traveling with her family, including memorable trips to Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, Colorado, Spain, New Zealand and Australia.

He then returned to Emplify Health by Gundersen for his first attending position, which he has greatly enjoyed, even more so after becoming the TY APD in January 2025.
In his free time, Matt enjoys working on his hobby farm and hiking the trails through his forest. He is an avid reader, particularly of fantasy and horror. He and his wife love spending time with their 2 dogs, Moose and Xander.
