About ExpressCare

Conditions

  • Bladder or urinary tract infection (female, age 12-80)
  • Ear pain, swimmer's ear, infection, wax removal
  • Mild vomiting/diarrhea
  • Sore or strep throat
  • Sinus problems and seasonal allergies
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Insect or tick bites
  • Pink eye, skin irritation and rashes

Due to COVID-19, if you have a cough, please call your primary care provider or our 24-hour nurse advisor line at (608) 775-4454.

Services

  • We offer on-site lab testing—rapid strep test ($25), urinalysis, mono testing and pregnancy testing ($15 each)—and a written prescription, if needed.
  • We also offer vaccinations and TB skin tests. It's best to make an appointment through your primary care provider's office for these services.
  • You’ll receive the same level of care you get from any Gundersen Clinic. ExpressCare is staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants supported by Gundersen family physicians.
  • If your condition cannot be treated at ExpressCare, you will be directed to the appropriate medical setting and you will not be charged.

Physicals

ExpressCare no longer offers physicals for school, sports, camp or college. Please schedule all physicals and well-child visits with your child's primary care provider in Pediatrics or Family Medicine.

Know before you go

We can care for up to 40 patients daily at ExpressCare. Our medical assistants (MAs) continue to perform TB skin tests and immunizations (not COVID-19 immunizations).
