Who we are

St. Elizabeth's Community Development Foundation was established in 1983 for the sole purpose of supporting the programs and services of St. Elizabeth's Hospital and Clinics. Thanks to the generosity of businesses and community members like you, we continue to fund advanced medical technology, expand programs and services and enhance our facilities. Our partnership with you—our donors—ensures our long-term sustainability as a trusted neighbor and healthcare provider.

Ways to give

Are you looking for a way to make a difference in someone's life? Supporting St. Elizabeth’s Community Development Foundation shows that you believe everyone in our community deserves the best healthcare possible. All gifts are tax deductible, recognized and remain in our communities to benefit local patients, residents, tenants and staff.

Memorial and honor gifts

Memorials provide lasting recognition of friends and loved ones who’ve gone before us. Memorials can also be established so that others may donate in your loved one’s name. Gifts made in honor of others are a way to celebrate life, recognize a special person or life event, or express good wishes. These gifts are thoughtful ways to mark marriages, anniversaries, birthdays, or say thank you to volunteers, doctors or nurses.

Annual appeal

Our annual appeal mailing is delivered in November and provides a strong base of revenue for project funding for the following year. Please contact us to make sure that you are on our mailing list.

Fundraising events

Our foundation enjoys hosting events that bring friends together to support a need or cause. We invite you to get involved in our golf benefits, concerts and bazaars, which help expand our donor family and financial capacity.

St. Elizabeth's Auxiliary

Check presentation from Gundersen St. Elizabeth's Auxiliary to foundation.

St. Elizabeth's Auxiliary is a 100+ member nonprofit organization that supports the mission and services of Gundersen St. Elizabeth's Hospital and Clinics. Auxiliary members raise financial support, host events, gather for meetings and serve as volunteers and ambassadors for our organization.

Field of Dreams

They say money doesn't grow on trees, but we can confirm it grows in corn and soybean fields. Our Field of Dreams surrounds our medical campus and has become an iconic fundraising effort grown out of the generous hearts of area farmers. After each growing season, proceeds from the harvest are transplanted into programs and services to meet important healthcare needs of our communities.

Planned giving

Planned gifts offer several benefits to donors, including providing an ongoing income stream, easing your current tax liability, and reducing capital gains tax or future estate tax. Deferred gifts can support our Foundation without impacting your current income or lifestyle. As a donor, you can designate the Foundation as a beneficiary of retirement plan assets or life insurance policies. Planned gifts also include gifts through your will, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, life estate contracts, charitable lead trusts and pooled income funds. From our director

Portrait of Tom Crowley.

Greetings and thank you for your interest in supporting St. Elizabeth’s Community Development Foundation (CDF). Our foundation supports Gundersen St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and Clinics in advancing access to quality care for our rural service area. We’re passionate about bringing the very best healthcare to our communities by supporting the great care provided by our staff with advanced technology and providing scholarships to grow our own healthcare workforce.

In recent years, St. Elizabeth’s CDF has purchased equipment to bring in new services such as podiatry. In addition, we’ve provided funds for new surgery and therapy equipment. Currently, we’re working toward an expanded Wellness Center, Rehab and Pharmacy.

Blessings,

Tom Crowley
