Physical activity is important to maintain. Keep up your motivation and continue being active.
Strength in numbers. Do you exercise with a group? People who exercise with others experience mental, physical and emotional benefits such as decreased stress and increased quality of life. Not only that, but working out with a friend is huge when it comes to accountability. You will be less likely to blow off the gym or an early morning walk when you know your workout partner is there waiting for you.
Remember your why. Why do you want to stay active? Maybe you want to stay healthy for your kids or grandkids. Maybe physical activity makes you happy and helps relieve stress; or maybe you want to feel your best and live a long, happy life.
Prioritize. Over the last 6 weeks of Minutes in Motion you probably needed to prioritize to make sure you were able to fit 30 minutes of activity into your day. Now that the challenge is over, it is important to continue doing so. Don't think of this as being selfish, rather, think of how it makes you a better person. If you are exercising for 30 minutes each day you are going to be a better friend, parent, colleague, spouse, son or daughter. You are fitting 30 minutes into your day to make yourself the best version of yourself you can be for those around you.
