St. Joseph's Memorial Foundation raised $515 for nursing scholarships through its Honor a Nurse program. The program invited staff and community members to recognize nurses at Gundersen St. Joseph's as part of National Nurses Week, May 6-12.

In her note of recognition to all nurses employed at Gundersen St. Joseph's, Kate O'Rourke, DO, vice chief of medical staff at Gundersen St. Joseph's said, "Our organization is fortunate to have you, and we appreciate your hard work and dedication every day. The work that I do would not be possible without your support. Your impact cannot be overstated."

"I am proud of each and every nurse who arrives for duty at Gundersen St. Joseph's to serve the patients of this community," said Toni Tengblad, RN, chief of clinical operations at Gundersen St. Joseph's. "They are truly wonderful."
