Gundersen St. Joseph's Hospital and Clinics is one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) for quality in the United States.

The Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals, including Gundersen St. Joseph's, scored best among CAHs as determined by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. The rankings were recently announced by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA). An awards ceremony will be held during NRHA's Critical Access Hospital Conference in September in Kansas City, Mo.

"Gundersen St. Joseph's Hospital and Clinics is committed to quality and patient safety as our first priority," says CEO Danni Gearhart. "We are extremely proud to be recognized for the outstanding care we provide to our patients. The recognition goes to our entire team for their unfaltering effort. We're also excited for how our new hospital project will enhance our quality and care environment for patients well into the future."

Gundersen St. Joseph's was recognized based on its percentile rank across the five categories of Hospital Compare Process of Care measures.
