Gundersen St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and Clinics welcomes family nurse practitioner, Jenny Hust, NP, home to Wabasha.

“It feels great to be back in my hometown providing care,” Hust said. “As a primary care provider, I understand that developing trusting relationships with my patients is crucial to promoting the best health and well-being for every patient.”

Hust graduated from Wabasha-Kellogg High School in 2004. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from St. Scholastica in Duluth and master’s degree in Nursing from Concordia University.

During her high school and college years, Hust worked at Gundersen St. Elizabeth’s as a certified nursing assistant and nurse tech. She said it feels great to return to where she started her medical career.

“I value the care of individuals of Wabasha and the surroundings areas,” Hust said. “I’m looking forward to seeing familiar faces.”
Most recently Hust worked as a roving provider at the Department of Veteran Affairs in Minneapolis.
Prior to that, she worked for Olmsted Medical Center – Lake City Branch Clinic in family practice.
“We’re excited and proud to have Jenny back in Wabasha. Knowing she’ll be providing care to our community – where she grew up – feels great,” Gundersen St. Elizabeth’s Administrator Jim Root said. “Jenny began her medical career at our organization several years ago. I hope her being here inspires our local students to look at medicine as a career.”
