• A listening ear to help patients and their families cope with the impact of healthcare on their lives individually and together.

Professional staff

The Gundersen professional Spiritual Care staff represents a broad range of faith backgrounds. We have continued the tradition of care and hope for the sick and those who serve them. The parish pastor, rabbi or congregational leader is an important part of our spiritual care team. They bring the reminder of community and ongoing relationship of the Holy in their members’ lives.

The Worship Center in the La Crosse Hospital is open at all times of the day and all are welcome. There are worship services on special holidays.

Healing Garden

There is a Healing Garden on the La Crosse Campus. It provides a calm and relaxing space for our patients, their family members, our visitors and staff. A water feature adds to the peaceful nature of the garden, while a skylight lets in an abundance of natural light. 

Patient and Visitor Terrace

Level 3 Medical Center

The Patient and Visitor Terrace provides a place for patients, families and visitors to get a breath of fresh air without leaving the hospital. Tables, chairs and benches provide a place to visit with loved ones...or to spend a moment alone.
