Gundersen Pediatric Specialties opens new space in La Crosse

Gundersen Pediatric Specialties opens new space in La Crosse
Tuesday, October 06, 2020

Some of Gundersen Health System's youngest patients discovered a new, more inviting space Monday, Oct. 5, when Pediatric Specialties opened its renovated department on Level 2 of the Gundersen La Crosse Clinic.

Gundersen Pediatric Specialties offers a level of pediatric expertise often only found in children's hospitals in large metropolitan areas. From infancy through adolescence, they provide care in dozens of specialty areas.

The new "Under the Sea" themed clinic features ocean décor, along with an engaging waiting area and friendly exam rooms.

"Providing the highest quality care has always been incredibly important to us, despite the physical space we've occupied. We see this new space as one tool, among many, that contributes to a positive patient experience," said Mindy Ragner, Clinical Manager, Pediatric Specialties. "Patients can continue to look to us for the best and broadest spectrum of care for kids."

Jennifer Kleven, MD, Department Chair, Pediatrics, said Pediatric Specialties' move to newly renovated space underscores Gundersen's commitment to caring for children and advocating for their highest quality experience.

"No matter the setting, our Pediatric teams understand the tremendous importance of caring for children and supporting families when they need us," Dr. Kleven said.

The new space was made possible, in part, by funding from Children's Miracle Network Hospitals® and the support of generous community donors.
