Elleson Schurtz, MD

Elleson Schurtz, MD, has joined Gundersen Decorah Clinic and is providing general surgery services to patients in the Decorah area. She provides a variety of surgical procedures including colonoscopies, EGDs and C-sections. In the future, she hopes to offer mastectomies, biopsies and lumpectomies of the breast in Decorah.

"I have long enjoyed visiting Decorah and the Northeast Iowa region," comments Dr. Schurtz. "Working for Gundersen in this area seems like a natural fit after learning about the value Gundersen places on enhancing the well-being of communities in addition to sustainability, both of which align with my core values."

In her free time. Dr. Schurtz enjoys spending time with her husband, son and their dogs, biking, hiking and canoeing. She also likes traveling, sailing, practicing yoga and cooking with family and friends.
