Gundersen Harmony Clinic upgrading x-ray equipment

To better serve their patients and the Harmony community, the Gundersen Harmony Clinic is updating their Radiology area with a remodeled room and new x-ray equipment.

"Upgrading our Radiology equipment allows us to provide higher quality care close to home for our patients. This is especially important for our patients with difficulty driving or who don’t have time to travel far for appointments," explains Melissa Fuhrmann, NP, nurse practitioner at Gundersen Harmony. "The new equipment will have better image quality and be more comfortable for our nursing home residents and patients who have mobility issues. The x-rays will still be read by a Gundersen radiologist, allowing us to quickly identify something like pneumonia or a broken bone and come up with a plan to get our patients feeling better as soon as possible."

Construction of the new Radiology area will begin the week of Nov. 19 and is scheduled to take six to eight weeks. During construction, patients who require Radiology services, will be referred to Gundersen Clinics in Spring Grove and Decorah.
