Work has begun for the new 77,000 square-foot Gundersen Tomah Clinic near Interstate 90 on Tomah's south side. While the first dirt was moved at the end of April, Gundersen officials celebrated the beginning of construction with a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, June 13.
The two-story facility, adjacent to the new Tomah Health, will allow patients to receive their care at one location and will include a Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Patients will have access to a variety of services including Dental, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Imaging, Lab, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Renal Dialysis, Vision and several other specialty services.
There will also be a Gundersen pharmacy inside the clinic with drive-thru service.
Gundersen's current clinic in Tomah at 1330 North Superior Ave. was built in 1995 and is approximately 25,000 square feet.
Completion on the new Gundersen Tomah Clinic is scheduled to be finished in the summer of 2019.
