Gundersen Health System's new 2,000-square-foot medical clinic in Holmen, opens for business at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 20. The Clinic, located in Holmen Square at 500 North Holmen Drive, Suite 502, will offer family medicine, women's health, annual health exams, care for chronic conditions and much more.

"Our new Holmen Clinic is going to be a great place for both existing and new patients to receive excellent care close to home over expanded hours that fit better with their schedules," says Scott Kniprath, Gundersen regional executive director. "We asked our patients what they wanted in a clinic and our intention is to deliver that for them."

The Gundersen Holmen Clinic will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Care at the Clinic will be provided by family medicine physician Charles E. Clark, MD, and his wife Mary Clark, DNP-FNP, a family medicine nurse practitioner. The Clarks will be joined by registered nurses, medical assistants, lab and radiology technicians and patient liaisons. The Clinic will employ 12 people. Gundersen officials say they are still recruiting for one more provider.

"This new site will be staffed by an outstanding team who are passionate about enriching the lives of the patients they serve," explains Kniprath.

In addition to the services listed above, the clinic provides:

  • Well-child exams
  • Sports physicals
  • Nicotine cessation
  • Mammography
  • Geriatrics
  • Lab
  • X-ray
  • Bone density testing

The Holmen Clinic joins a network of nearly 30 primary care clinics in Gundersen's system throughout Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota.
