Gundersen Health System and Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics are working under a letter of intent to evaluate the possibility of regional partnership.
Moundview is based in Friendship, Wis., and consists of a 25-bed critical access hospital and medical clinics in Friendship and Westfield. The organization currently provides 24-hour emergency care, urgent care, inpatient and short term rehabilitation care, diagnostic testing, surgical procedures, a full range of rehabilitation services, access to numerous specialty physicians and more.
Work will continue toward a partnership throughout the remainder of this year. If a partnership is finalized, an announcement is expected around the start of 2017.
Currently Gundersen has four regional partners: Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital and Clinics in Hillsboro, Wis., Gundersen Tri-County Hospital and Clinics in Whitehall, Wis., Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics in Boscobel, Wis. and most recently, Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Hospital and Clinics in West Union, Iowa.
