Gundersen Dental and Eye Clinic opens in Prairie du Chien

Tuesday, March 22, 2016

Patients in the Prairie du Chien area who need vision and dental services can now receive their care in a new location.

The 8,000-square-foot clinic, located at 118 South Marquette Road (US Highway 18/35), opened Monday and combines Gundersen's dental and eye services into one convenient location.

"The new clinic will benefit patients and our community by offering more access to high-quality eye care in a more comfortable and private setting," says Philip Holzer, OD, optometrist at Gundersen Eye Clinic Prairie du Chien.

The clinic features a larger waiting area, additional exam rooms and designated rooms for specialized testing.

"I am very excited to be in the new building. Despite the new look and location, we are still going to offer all the same great services for our community with geriatric, pediatric and adult eye care," explains Brad Collins OD, optometrist at Gundersen Eye Clinic Prairie du Chien. "One of the additional benefits is off street parking which means patients no longer having to worry about getting a parking ticket!"

The new dental area will provide space for expanded dental specialty services, including Oral Surgery, and feature state-of-the-art dental radiology and ophthalmic equipment.

"I'm looking forward to having our own dedicated space. Gundersen has provided quality orthodontics to the Prairie du Chien community for more than 30 years, but we've lacked our own space. This new facility allows us to have a more permanent footprint in the community," comments Mark Endrizzi, DDS, Gundersen Orthodontics. "The facility is a beautiful, well designed space that will enhance the overall experience for both our orthodontic team and more importantly for patients and their families. With open bays and private rooms, we are set up for convenient patient flow. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care in a comfortable environment. The new facility only enhances our ability to deliver on that goal. "

The Gundersen Prairie du Chien Clinic at 610 East Taylor Street, which includes medical and behavioral health services, will remain in its current location.
