Jeremy Levin of Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative surprised Natalie Tollefson with the award during the foundation’s golf outing.

The Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative (RWHC) awarded its 2023 Rural Health Ambassador Award to Natalie Tollefson, manager of business operations and foundation director at Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics

The award honored 26 healthcare workers across Wisconsin who have gone above and beyond to promote their organizations and contribute to rural health.

“It’s pretty amazing to be recognized for doing what you love,” Tollefson said.

Each recipient has a history of promoting good communication and relationships in the hospital's service area by participating in community boards and service organizations. They also take advantage of volunteer or public speaking opportunities and support community health activities beyond the scope of the hospital.

“From serving on community boards and committees to planning and hosting collaborative community wellness events to marketing and beyond, Natalie works to better the health and well-being of the communities Gundersen Boscobel serves,” said Mandy Pettit, director of outpatient operations. “Her positive attitude and demeanor shine during interactions with patients, visitors, coworkers and others and she's a trusted resource that inspires change through her work.”

Many in our communities trust Tollefson as a resource and know her as someone who inspires change through her work.

“Her dedication to rural health is evident through well-thought-out and executed events that bring joy to residents and offer an opportunity for learning, connection and change,” said administrator Theresa Braudt.

Tollefson also excels at making Health & Wellness and marketing content that engages and simplifies the complex healthcare industry. Her unwavering commitment is what truly sets her apart from others. She truly dedicates herself to help and improve others' lives.
