Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s the new Emplify Health helicopter!
Later this month, Bellin and Gundersen Health System will begin flying its Emplify Health-branded helicopter, serving patients across the tri-state region while introducing communities to the organization’s future brand.
The helicopter will replace an older model in the Gundersen region’s fleet and will feature the latest in aviation safety technology including enhanced terrain awareness, newer Instrument Flight Rules technology, and updated technology to better communicate with first responder and hospital partners.
Gundersen AIR Clinical Manager Janelle Weaver says the helicopter’s medical area has been redesigned to better meet patient needs.
“It complements our advanced patient care skills and medications,” says Janelle. “It really is a flying intensive care unit.”
The new helicopter is also much lighter than previous models, allowing crews to carry more fuel to fly further and carry more advanced patient care equipment.
In addition to its state-of-the-art capabilities, the helicopter is one of the first major introductions of Emplify Health to communities, painted with a full wrapping of the brand’s logo and colors.
Janelle says she is excited to see the helicopter represent Emplify Health in the community.
“Our department is truly out and about in the tri-state region 24/7 and 365 days a year,” she says. “Having our helicopter visible to the community makes a strong contribution to telling the story of Emplify Health’s commitment to patient health and wellbeing.”
On the ground level, the organization’s ambulances will also be undergoing a redesign to display the new brand.
