Expanded hours coming to Emplify Health by Gundersen Onalaska Clinic Pharmacy
Beginning April 1, Emplify Health by Gundersen’s Onalaska Clinic Pharmacy and Health Shop will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. — the only pharmacy in Onalaska to offer those hours each day. This is an expansion from its current hours, which are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The new schedule also aligns with the clinic’s Urgent Care, ensuring patients have more options for receiving medications without delay and making it easier for everyone to manage their health.
“Expanding our Onalaska Clinic Pharmacy hours and matching the schedule to the clinic’s Urgent Care is a direct response to the feedback we’ve received from the people we serve,” Robyn Borge, MD, medical vice president, says. “Emplify Health by Gundersen is deeply committed to improving healthcare access and convenience so we can continue being a well-connected and reliable resource when it works best for our patients.”
As the Onalaska Clinic Pharmacy prepares for expanded hours, the transition to the new schedule is expected to be seamless, with the pharmacy team working to ensure all systems and staff are ready to support the change.
“We understand the importance of providing medications outside of traditional business hours, especially for those with immediate health needs and busy lifestyles,” Dr. Borge says. “Whether you’re a parent picking up a prescription for your child after a visit to Urgent Care or a working professional who can only visit the pharmacy after your shift, we’ll be there for you when you need us.”

Heather Schimmers, MBA, RN, Emplify Health Gundersen Region president, says this project is the first step in growing pharmacy services, noting future plans for evaluating holiday hours and expanding hours at the La Crosse Clinic Pharmacy location — all of which aligns with the health system’s overall commitment to increasing care access for patients.
