Emplify Health by Gundersen honors doctors with food pantry donations in Muscoda, Fennimore

On National Doctors’ Day, celebrated each March 30, Emplify Health by Gundersen honored the unwavering commitment and dedication of its doctors who work side-by-side with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, behavioral health specialists and countless others who are equally dedicated to ensuring patients and communities have access to high-quality healthcare, close to home. 

To honor the more than 560 physicians serving throughout Emplify Health by Gundersen and celebrate the remarkable impact of each, Emplify Health made donations to 40 food pantries across the Tri-State region, totaling $22,000. Through this initiative, Emplify Health by Gundersen aims to support and uplift those in need, while also fostering a sense of community and collaboration.

Locally, nurse practitioners Karen Lomas and Matt Drakas, were honored to present $250 donations to volunteers at the Depot Exchange Thrift Store and Food Pantry in Fennimore and the SWCAP Riverdale Area Food Pantry in Muscoda.

The community is reminded that volunteers and donations are always appreciated and needed at our local pantries. In addition to food items, personal hygiene items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, body wash/soap, feminine and incontinence products as well as diapers and baby wipes are always appreciated.
