Gundersen Moundview Hospital and Clinics has signed a purchase agreement with Phillips Roche-a-Cri Pharmacy. A delayed closing and official transfer of ownership will occur in the summer of 2021. Over the coming months, Gundersen Moundview and Gundersen La Crosse will be working closely with the pharmacy to ensure a smooth transition for their staff and customers.

The pharmacy's commitment to its staff, patients and the community will not change. Gundersen Moundview will retain all pharmacy staff.  The pharmacy will continue to serve all patients regardless if they use Gundersen Health System or another area provider.

"When we decided to sell the pharmacy, Gundersen Moundview was a natural fit," said Wayne MacArdy, one of the owners of Phillips Roche-a-Cri Pharmacy. "Our pharmacy and Gundersen Moundview share similar values. We are both committed to providing high quality patient care, improving community health, and place a high value on community involvement."

"Phillips Pharmacy delivers innovative, comprehensive outpatient pharmacy care to achieve safe and effective use of medications," said Frank Perez-Guerra, administrator at Gundersen Moundview. "They do this by partnering with patients and care providers and throughout the process demonstrate sincerity and compassion to the individuals they serve."

"The pharmacy has leased space within Gundersen Moundview since 2005, added Perez-Guerra. "Through the years their staff have built close working relationships with our Gundersen providers and employees. We're excited to have the pharmacy and its staff officially join our healthcare organization."
