In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Gundersen Moundview Hospital and Clinics is now offering expanded telehealth services at its clinics in Friendship and Westfield as an alternative to in-person clinic visits.
Our clinic providers are happy to offer patients a safe and convenient alternative to in-person visits," says Lori Wittig, clinical operations director at Gundersen Moundview. "Many appointments can be managed through a phone call or video visit. Video visits are scheduled via the patient's personal computer, tablet or smartphone."
Telehealth services allow patients to speak with their primary care provider for medication refills, follow-up visits, chronic health issues and acute care needs. While most insurance plans cover telehealth with the same considerations and co-pays as an in-person appointment, Gundersen Moundview recommends confirming your carrier's policy.
Available telehealth options:
- Gundersen MyChart®
- Telephone appointment
Gundersen Moundview's Friendship and Westfield Clinics will also remain open normal business hours for essential, in-person appointments.
For an appointment, call Gundersen Moundview Hospital and Clinics at (608) 339-3331. Staff will assist patients in determining the appropriate visit type and discuss pre-appointment considerations and requirements for telephone and video visits.
