Slaman Family Memorial Scholarship
Sponsored by the Slaman Family
The Slaman Family Memorial Scholarship was established in July 1991 by Sam and Karen Slaman in honor of two women: Elizabeth Slaman, mother of Sam and Antoinette "Toni" Nichols, mother of Karen. Both were patients at the former Boscobel Memorial Hospital and residents at the former BAHC Nursing Home. The creation of a scholarship in their honor symbolizes the family’s concern and sensitivity for rural healthcare, as well as their appreciation for those who provide immediate patient care in the hospital and nursing home facility located in Boscobel. As such, this scholarship is offered to employees of the current Gundersen Boscobel Hospital and Clinics (GBAHC) and their spouses or legal dependents.
