Improving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a lifelong journey. This shouldn't be something to dread, but rather something to embrace. Through trial and error you will be able to find what makes you the best you possible!

Think big picture - Where do you see yourself in 5 years, 10 years or 20 years? Maintaining good health contributes to our longevity. Your current behaviors will impact you down the line and it is never too late to make a change! Make sure you are getting enough exercise and eating right so you are able to live life to the fullest.

Give and take - Sometimes we eat our vegetables and sometimes we enjoy a piece of cake. This is what makes us human. Take time to enjoy life and all of the opportunities we are given.

Switch it up - When it comes to workouts, try different activities! If you don't like your current workout routine or you feel stuck in a rut, find something new. There are so many different types of exercise out there. If you haven't found something that works for you, keep experimenting. You are bound to find something you enjoy.

Don't stress - When we experience stress, our bodies produce cortisol. When you are constantly under stress this cortisol is going to make you hold onto weight and can potentially be a factor in weight gain. You might be surprised that when you stop focusing so much on the scale your weight is more likely to drop.

Relationships - Family and friends are incredibly important. People who have others they trust and enjoy spending time with are happier and may live longer than people who don't value relationships. This doesn't mean you have to be a social butterfly. Some people like to spend time alone and that is okay.
