National Doctors' Day is March 30

Few professions require the constant commitment and compassion that is necessary of healthcare professionals as they perform their daily work. So, we encourage you to think about the doctors and other medical professionals who have made a difference in your life and wish them a happy Doctors' Day on March 30.

This national day of recognition was first observed in 1933 to honors physicians for their ability to comfort and heal.

In celebration of Doctors' Day, Gundersen Medical Foundation invites staff, patients, patients' families and other benefactors to make a gift in honor of doctors or other medical professionals who have touched their lives in a special way. It may be a doctor or other healthcare professional who has provided compassionate care, served as a mentor, or has offered a sympathetic ear as a friend. Whether it was yesterday or years ago, take this opportunity to acknowledge those medical professionals for whom you are grateful.

Your gift will not only serve as a meaningful tribute to your favorite doctor or other healthcare provider but will help advance the Foundation's mission through the support of education, research, patient and staff needs, and community outreach efforts.

Without specifying your gift amount, we will send an acknowledgement card that includes your personal message to each person you choose to recognize. All those honored will be listed in Bridges and on a special Doctors' Day tribute web page.

To participate, use the Gifts of Gratitude brochure available at the Foundation office (Level 3, Clinic) or go to gundersenhealth.org/doctorsday.
