Thanks to Foundation for support of major nursing event

The Nursing Research on the Green planning committee thanks Gundersen Medical Foundation and contributors to the Philip J. Dahlberg, MD, Nursing Lectureship Fund for their continued support of Nursing Research on the Green. Their support throughout the past 14 years has enabled experts in various fields of nursing to share expertise in nursing research and evidence-based practice.

There was record attendance at this year's Nursing Research on the Green event, with 519 participating in a variety of sessions throughout the day at Viterbo University.

There was record attendance at this year's April 21 event with 519 participating in a variety of sessions throughout the day. More than 400 of those attendees listened to the keynote address delivered by Diana J. Mason, PhD, RN, FAAN. Dr. Mason is the 2016 Dahlberg Scholar. Her presentation titled, "Age of Innovation: What Are We Researching?" shared how reforming healthcare in the direction of the Triple Aim requires nurses to think carefully about research that can improve people’s health and healthcare experiences, and reduce healthcare costs.

Special thanks to Sigurd Gundersen, III, MD, chairman, Gundersen Medical Foundation, for presenting the 2016 Dahlberg Scholar Award to Dr. Mason.
