The Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our pediatric GI practice within our Pediatric Specialties department.
You would be joining a collegial group with great support and resources to provide the best care for the pediatric population we serve.
Practice:
*Wide range of procedures in our modern Endoscopy lab
*Close collaboration with Pathology, Radiology, Pediatric Surgery, Child life specialists, nutrition support, Speech Pathology and Pediatric psychologists
*Well-established Telemedicine practice with the opportunity to do outreach
*Opportunities for Clinical research
*A collegial work environment with a variety of multidisciplinary niche clinics. i.e. Neuro development clinic, Cystic Fibrosis Clinic
*Teaching opportunities- Western campus for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health
*8 BC Adult Gastroenterologists to collaborate with and assist with advanced therapeutic procedures
The Department of Pediatrics consists of 6 pediatric hospitalists, approximately 20 general pediatric providers (includes physicians and NP’s), 3 NICU physicians, and 3 PICU physicians. Gundersen Health System has over 13 specialty areas that care for children. Housed within our pediatric specialties department is allergy/asthma/immunology, cardiology, endocrinology and diabetes, gastroenterology, genetics, learning and development, and child life. Pediatric inpatients are cared for primarily by a hospitalist on a beautiful new inpatient ward, which includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Must have completed an accredited graduate medical training program and be board certified or eligible within the area of medicine stated. In addition, must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Medical staff in our system will supervise advanced practice clinicians. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
