In response to the coronavirus 2019 pandemic, Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics is now offering alternatives to in-person clinic visits through expanded telehealth services.
"Many appointments can be managed through a phone call or video visit," said family medicine physician Colleen McCurry, MD, Gundersen Boscobel. "Our providers are happy to offer patients a safe and convenient alternative to in-person visits via their personal computer, tablet or smartphone."
Telehealth allows patients to speak with their primary care provider for medication refills, follow-up visits, chronic health issues and acute care needs. While most insurance plans cover telehealth with the same considerations and co-pays as an in-person appointment, Gundersen Boscobel recommends confirming your carrier's policy.
Available telehealth options:
- Gundersen MyChart
- Telephone appointment
For an appointment, call Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics at (608) 375-4144. Staff will assist patients in determining the appropriate visit type and discuss pre-appointment considerations and requirements for telephone and video visits.
