The Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics Foundation will be hosting its 1st annual Trap Shoot Charity Event on September 16th at the Boscobel Sportsman's club. The proceeds of the event will provide needed equipment, programming and support for Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics.

"The Trap Shoot Charity Event is an opportunity to support a good cause, while having a fun time," explains Eric Swan, Foundation Director. "Whether you are a seasoned trap shooter or looking to shoot for the first time, all are welcome and invited to participate in this fun event."

The Trap Shoot starts at 10 a.m. and will run through 3 p.m. concluding with raffle drawings. Attendees can participate in a number of 10 bird shoot competitions which are $3.50 to participate in. For each 10 Bird Shoot, there will be prizes awarded to the winner. Prizes will range from merchandise to frozen chickens. The shooting will conclude with an Annie Oakley competition at 2:30 p.m.

"The event structure will allow participants to sign-up to compete against those with similar skill levels," explains Swan. "Shotguns and ammunition will be available at the event for those who would like to participate, but don't have the necessary equipment. There will also be someone available for instruction to help new shooters compete."

There will be a variety of raffles at the event, along with food and beverages for purchase. There is no pre-registration required to participate. For more information, contact Eric Swan at (608) 375-6300.
