Gundersen Health System is seeking a .8 FTE Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Calmar and Waukon Family Medicine Clinics.  This position will be a split between our Calmar and Waukon Clinics.  We are looking for an experienced team-oriented clinician who is seeking an opportunity to provide full spectrum outpatient family medicine.  The potential for ER work in Waukon is also available to clinicians that are interested.

Our clinics are supported by 1 physician, 3 PA’s and 3 NP’s.  Our Waukon and Calmar medical teams have a full primary care practice including caring for patients of all ages in a busy outpatient clinic practice.

Both Waukon and Calmar are in the Northeast corner of Iowa.  This area has deeply carved river valleys, upward reaching bluffs and outdoor activities for all seasons.  Both locations are roughly an hour from La Crosse, WI and an hour and a half from Rochester, MN.  

Must have completed an accredited program and be eligible to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.  Advanced practice clinicians work under the direct supervision of a physician.  Clinician staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system.  Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all clinicians.
