McKenzie was born and raised in Monroe, Wisconsin, and earned degrees in biology and history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health as a part of the Wisconsin Academy of Rural Medicine (WARM) program. McKenzie is interested in full-spectrum rural family medicine. During her free time, McKenzie enjoys reading historical novels, watching the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, and spending time with her new niece.
