Cassandra is originally from Waukon, Iowa. She grew up on a beef farm with her mother, father and four brothers. Cassandra graduated from Waukon High School in 2011 and then went to Drake University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology in 2014. She started at Des Moines University, participated in the rural medicine tract and found she had a passion for women’s and children’s health. Cassandra graduated as Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2018. She was also married in May 2018, and is getting a puppy with her husband, which they have decided to name Aruba because she was born on the first day of their honeymoon. In her free time, Cassandra loves to spend time with her family, play board games and cook.
