When did mds stop touching people? He diagnosed me without an exam. Could have asked the questions over the phone instead of making me drive to lax, get into overworked overcrowded valet quagmire for a 10 min do nothing appt. And because of the wasteful, inefficient medical model of referral to a referral to get a referral to get treatment that you ascribe to, I have to go to another appointment. Generates revenue, however. Instead of foolish name change expense, why didn't Gundersen Lutheran spend money to fix itself? Adolf is turning over in his grave.

Every thing went as planned and perfect!

I felt very confident after meeting and talking to Dr. Whalen about hip surgery. He was very reassuring, listening and answering all of our questions. He definitely set my mind at ease and I trust him completely.

It looks like something like the perfect place. We sat in the reception area and it was 20 minutes past my appointment time so I went to the check-in desk to see what was going on and they informed me they just got a message that he was running a half hour late. There has to be a way through my chart to tell people what's going on so you're not sitting there. Waiting and waiting. That's just not right

Gundersen communicates between departments - and reads the notes ahead of time to plan an outline for care. I am so sick and tired of having to schedule extra appointments or come back for x rays , labs etc. They get it all done right away to help them and help me. They also listen and read the history ahead of time!!!!!!!!! no more repeating 5 x what is going on with me to every nurse , doctor or other professional.

I wish they would have asked more about my daily routine, how much pain I'm in during the day, doing different things. They only asked how much pain, my pain number when I was just sitting there not moving on a chair. That really didn't give any indication at all of what my pain is like on a daily basis. And there was no discussion about that. I wish that would have occurred. Thanks. Bye.

I appreciated the opportunity to be on a cancellation list and the automated offer when an appointment became available earlier.

The only thing I felt was they kept telling me to be there at 10:30. So it was 11:15 before they called me to have my x-rays taken. they apologized, of course for running late, but it was an inconvenience for me to be there at 10:30.

Dr. Whalen took the time to review my mom's records, listened to her concerns and offered what he thought could be done to try to help her without surgery. He is so kind, caring and patient.

Just a very slight visual indication that Dr Whalen felt and showed he needed to get to his next appointment. Not significant by any means but I did notice it.

This was a return visit to dr Whalen who replaced a knee a year ago. That experience was excellent from start to finish. I already know I'm in good hands. That trust was reconfirmed by Dr Whalen and every member of his team with whom I met. All were friendly and well informed and tailored their interactions based on my having already gone through this once.
