VERY slow

I think Dr. Fowler is a competent physician, but his manner seems somewhat dismissive.

Dr. Fowler was great as was the nurse and Sportsmedicine PT. The PA was seemingly on autopilot. He seemed indifferent and was not helpful. He worked off a script or so it seemed, and appeared to be going thru the motions. I read his comments in MyChart and he charted things that he did not mention at all during his time with me. Dr. Fowler seems very straightforward , caring and well informed. I took comfort that he has performed the procedures I need many, many times and he was very reassuring the procedure would bring relief.

Its truly reassuring to know that there are still providers that can deliver honest, compassionate care for their patients. Dr. Fowler is a very seasoned provider with a great bedside manner! Thanks for everything!

Dr Fowler was excellent. Explained everything so I understood what was going on and were we go forward from here.

Everything went pretty well. I would say that the time from my previous visit to this one was longer than I had hoped.

Dr. Fowler explained my knee images, explained the surgery procedure, and I left the appointment with a full understanding of what to expect and a full understanding of all risks of the procedure. If I had seen him prior to the PA, Athletic Trainer, or Nurse, I would have known more about the post surgical procedure aftercare expectations as he was able to walk through what he would be addressing during the surgery. I appreciated the discussion, review of treatment options, and the time to determine what is in my best interest as an individual patient.

Check in was confusing as to the line(s). Could be oriented better. Check out should be clearly marked(signs). You shouldn't have to go out and get in line with the check-ins.

Dr. Fowler showed empathy for my issue and gave me information about what the next step would be.

This is what an experience should be like. Frankly I put off seeing anyone about this because of how I was treated and the interaction I had with the previous provider. This experience was totally different. Dr. Fowler was informative explained in detail what could be done, explained that other options were available but wouldn't achieve the the goal I was looking for. It was so different from my last visit and communication. Night and day. I had made the decision if it was anything like what I had experienced with the PA I met with that I was going to go to Mayo. Thankfully it was a great experience.

We were very impressed with Dr. Fowler. We came to him after having some knee surgery at Winona Health and he was so informative with everything. I will continue to see him and will plan on having my additional follow up appointments with Gundersen.

Dr Fowler has done both of our daughters knees and we trust him with our care. He is now going to work on my husbands knee. We know we have the best care and he is definately the best and that makes us feel so much more comfortable coming into this.

He was very good doctor he referred me to the doctor that did the surgery on my knee he said he could tell me more what is going on

Some confusion at check in, X-rays scheduled before appointment wasn't clear to the check in desk. It did NOT affect the x-rays or appointment.

Keep up the good work, I have been with you for quite some time and have never been disappointed. Thank You for the quality care.

A thorough visit

Dr. Fowler wastes no time in his care/ treatment. He is very professional and has been spot on with his previous diagnosis. I cant imagine finding a provider that has his qualities in the future. I hope he remains in practice for many years to come. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
