Everyone is so kind

The technician that roomed me did not introduce herself. This is often happens with nurses in other depts I had visited. The doctors always do. It would be nice since the technician/nurse knows my name.

Great check up

I thought the visit with Dr. Darveaux was very excellent in all regards. She took care of all of my questions and explained things very thoroughly and understandably. So I think she rates a top performance rating.

Dr. Darveux seems very knowledgeable and personable. Someone I can put my trust in and approachable; one of the most important principles of patient care.

The patient liaison was not particularly thorough or enthusiastic, did not appear to be enthusiastic, didn't tell us where to expect to be called from, so we were totally on the wrong end of the waiting area. Otherwise, everyone was pretty prompt and cordial and did their job very professionally. Dr. Darveaux was very thorough and we appreciate her a great deal for that. Thank you.

The Onalaska Optometry waiting area was crowded and noisy, probably because the waiting area is combined with the optical shop. Once I had my appointment with Dr. Darveaux, which went well, I would have had a 30+minute wait to try on glasses and select one or two.

I've come to expect exceptional care at all of my visits to Gundersen and I was definitely not disappointed. Every contact, from check-in until check-out was more than pleasant, even fun. Dr. Darveaux is fantastic, and I recommend her to my friends and family. The eye clinic was pretty busy, and the providers were running behind, but everyone was communicative, which ALWAYS makes waiting easier. The tech was a bit aloof and didn't even look at me when she left the room. But Dr. Darveaux herself is always great. She listens intently. She was able to take the symptoms I have and figure out i need specialized glasses with prism. She's wonderful. Thorough.
