The Cancer Center's sections of Hematology and Medical Oncology offers a stimulating fellowship program in Hematology and Medical Oncology that leads to board eligibility in both subspecialties. We prepare fellow who have a strong interest in clinical practice with and emphasis on contributions to clinical trial participation.  Those interested in academic careers will also have a pathway supporting that goal through several research avenues including laboratory and clinical investigation.

The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Gundersen Health System has a well established relationship with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.  Fellows in Hematology/Oncology at Gundersen will have the required 1 month of transplantation experience at UW in their 2nd year.

The Cancer Center is an NCI funded CCOP with primary research affiliations through ECOG, MD Anderson Cancer Center and Wake Forest Cancer Center. In addition the Gundersen Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders is a member of the NCCCP.
