In this three hour class, you and your support person will expand upon the knowledge you obtained from the Managing Your Labor class. It is not required to take Managing Your Labor prior to taking this class, but it is highly recommended. This class gives you and your support person additional practice and learning time to become comfortable with important labor coping techniques such as;
- Breathing techniques
- Counter pressure
- Visualization/guided imagery
- Position changes
- Rhythm and ritual
Please wear comfortable clothes, bring two pillows (along with a flat bed sheet, twin or queen size), and be prepared to move.
It is recommended that a support person accompany to be there for stability of movement and hands-on learning. The instructor will be available for questions and further demonstrations a half hour after class.
Please bring your prenatal books, snacks / drinks as desired and arrive 10 minutes early due to parking.
The registration fee includes both you and a partner. You are encouraged to register for classes early to reserve your spot (classes fill quickly), but should not attend until after 28 weeks. Individual circumstances can vary.
