This knee replacement process has exceeded all expectations (and I had high expectations going in). The team that Dr. Lawrence heads has been exceptionally competent, personable, and efficient. I have given Dr. Lawrence's name to a number of my out-of-state friends and family. I've offered to house them should they wish to consult with him.

Excellent staff members at this facility

There is a reason Dr Lawrence is considered a legend in Total Knee Arthroplasty. I feel so grateful to be under his care. Only other comments, in the check in area, not much for privacy/confidentiality. It's a small space and the check in staff is close together. Staff was great.

The only concern I had is that when I set up the appointment I think someone could tell us that when scheduling you have to have your dental your teeth cleaned prior to scheduling a surgery. I could have had that done earlier. Now it's hard for me to find that time, find a dentist, so that could be done as soon as somebody's calling to make an appointment and otherwise the doctor was fabulous. Everything else I feel very secure so I'm very happy with everything else. Thank you.

Experience with Viroqua clinic and hospital staff was excellent. Very professional and friendly. The pre surgery prep for pain, weeks before, added to my almost pain free and quick recovery in rehab for me, I believe. One year later, no pain and motion restored. Would recommend all of you to anyone I know!

I can't say enough great things about the quality of care that I received before, during, and after my knee replacement from ALL staff at Vernon Memorial. Everyone was so helpful, caring, and professional. My husband and I were so surprised that we received a phone call on the night of my discharge not only from Dr. Lawrence's nurse, but Dr. Lawrence himself! Both making sure that I was doing okay and asking if I needed anything. I highly recommend Dr. Lawrence if you need any joint replacement! The guy at the desk told me everything was good for my second appointment but he didn't check me in. He seemed like he was training.

Dr. Lawrence is definitely an amazingly gifted and skilled orthopedic surgeon, but he is also a truly caring, kind person. He always attentively listens to everything I discuss with him and then not only shares his vast knowledge and expertise with me but he does it in such a positive, insightful, compassionate manner. He always makes me feel like I am exceeding his personal standards, and ii is because I am the one working to do my part to recover from my knee replacement. He is so encouraging and humble, and I truly know that I will have a second successful TKR due to his expertise and support, both on physically and mentally.

Dr Lawrence is a personable physician. He is a good listener and makes sure my range of motion is able to accommodate my daily lifestyle of activities. The whole staff at Viroqua is very friendly, makes me as a patient feel as if I matter.

Gundersen Clinic is the greatest place to go I have never been unhappy with my visit.

Dr. J. Lawrence - wow, incredible. I had 3 joint replacement this past year. All of them exceeded my expectations. While the hip was a more difficult recovery, the two knee replacements went beautifully. Recovery was minimal, and much easier than I had expected. Tremendous staff, arrival staff of surgery day is incredible. Dr. Lawrence - make sure he doesn't retire anytime soon. What a tremendous asset to VM! I woud recommend his work to ANYONE needing knee/hip replacement.

Everyone we were in contact with were very kind and polite. Waiting time was very minimal.

From the time I was checked in at the desk it took 42 minutes to see the doctor. The doctor apologized for being so late. It was worth the wait, Dr. Lawrence is fantastic.

Dr. Lawrence considered health issues that had been evaluated outside of his care but was willing to help if he could.

Dr Lawrence was very caring, listened to my concerns. He is the only Doctor that I would consider knee replacement with.

I'm a little confused about the connection between the Viroqua Specialties and the Gundersen Health System. Is it one "system" or not? I have a Quartz health insurance plan, so that is one factor. My health records were available to them, but there seemed to be issues with shared information. We have a Gundersen clinic in Winona now, which I have utilized and received excellent services. The services at Viroqua were also excellent, so the slight disconnect was odd.

Yes Dr. Lawrence was very kind and was thorough and I saw the video also.

While I was not seen in a timely manner, I view this a bit differently knowing how conscientious Dr Lawrence is. He takes the time his patients need so they understand. Someone before me needed that time and he gave it to them. I believe this is why his patients trust him. Dr Lawrence was ever so apologetic about my wait. He doesn't take time with "some" of his patients, but "all" of his patients.

The only problem I had, was your credit card reader was broken and I couldn't pay my co-pay.

I'm very impressed with Dr. Lawrence. He was very informative and explained the procedures of the knee replacement.

I had all my questions and concerns addressed and now I have a decision to make with guidance from him. He is an excellent doctor.

Every one seems real nice. I was impressed by the hi tech imaging equipment.

I was not seen in a timely manner due to an extremely long delay waiting to get my xrays done. It was no fault of any person involved, definitely NOT the physician. It was clearly a lack of adequate staffing for the volume of patients needing imaging.

Overall it was a good experience and I feel confident in my upcoming knee replacement by the orthopedic staff.

I trust Dr. Lawrence completely with my health care needs.

I prefer this smaller clinic/hospital to the big one in Lacrosse.

Dr Lawrence and his team are fabulous. I did want to offer a few suggestions about the notebook. It would be helpful if given at the beginning of the pre-op informative day to allow for note taking etc instead of at the end. The notebook it self could use some alterations. The Tabs should be printed in black so that they can be read and a table of contents would be helpful. That's it .. thanks
